I am just back from visiting the exhibits a week after putting them up and am amazed by the number of entries on the "I was here" book. I must really thank all of you who have taken time off to view my works.
Just some reply to the comments i found in the guest book.
I didn't want this exhibition to be a run of the mill type of images. I wanted to show that the wedding photography industry has this group of people who takes their work as art and spends tonnes of time refining their skills and care in treating their images. You can find the majority of these people at www.wpn.sg. Thus the selection of the images displayed.
Wedding photography to me does not mean only "perfect" images of the couple from head to toe, perfectly sharp. Why can't i shoot a picture of the bride's hands or legs to show the effort of the bride to do her manicure or her painstakingly chosen shoes. Why can't i shoot images which i cannot see the people's faces or pictures which are totally blur if it adds to the mood of the image.
About weddings being colourful events and my images being mostly monochrome, well first of all, most of the black and white images shown were taken in b&w film (don't ask me why that they turn out better than colour images, they just did) so there's nothing i can do to turn them into colour. Secondly, we often work in poor lighting here in Singapore, imagine yellowly, dimly lit ballrooms and the only way to strongly bring out the images is to remove distracting colours. I always love colour and will still prefer to shoot it like that when the lighting's great.
Well, that's all i can think of now. Please feel free to leave any comments on any picture or just chat with me through this blog.

Getting Ready
The "Sisters"

Door bargaining is always a chance for us to capture emotional images, especially when the "sisters" get the better of the "brothers", which is like 99% of the time. The only instance i can remember is when James entered Jenny's house without even paying a single cent. The sisters got so carried away with playing that they forgot to bargain for their ang baos!
The Groom
The Bride 2
The Shoes
The Bride
The Veil
The Surprise

Ben and Naomi's wedding was probably one of the most colourful i have ever been to. It certainly is the most emotional. They had great friends who would do crazy stuff and the whole wedding's a blast. Off course they also had prob the most talented guests around to bring up the mood to, of which included Hossan Leong and Mr. Brown and tonnes of fly entertainment artistes. Oh did i forget to mention that Ben is actually Mr. Miyagi and that Naomi works at Fly Entertainment?
The Couple
And there was the beginning.......
For those who stumbled upon this blog and have absolutely no idea what this blog is about, its a record of my 2nd solo exhibition titled, yes you've guessed it, Books 2 Weddings. This blog serves as a means for me to express more about each piece of work exhibited and also to showcase some of the other works which i have not put up due to the space constrains.

Its 2.30am in the morning and i have just finished framing all the images and finalised the layout of the exhibition. All set to go to set up the exhibits tomorrow. The rest of the images will be up tomorrow once i set enough sleep.
